Frequently Asked Questions

If you are wondering how often to scoop, what happens when it rains, or who is actually walking into your yard, you are in the right place. Tap a question below to see the answer.

For most yards with one or two dogs, weekly service is the sweet spot. Dogs are going every day, so a week of buildup is already plenty. If you have multiple dogs or a small yard that gets used a lot, twice weekly keeps things from ever turning into a land mine situation.

When it rains, waste does not just sit on top of the grass. It breaks down and seeps into the soil and mud. That spreads bacteria across a wider area and makes the whole yard feel slimy and gross instead of just spotty. Staying on a regular schedule keeps things from ever soaking in that far.

It is me. Scoopreme is not a franchise and I do not send random subcontractors. The same person who texts you is the person who walks through your gate, respects your space, and scoops your yard. If something ever needs to change, you hear it from me directly.

No. Scoopreme is month to month. I believe in earning your business every visit. If you need to pause or cancel service for any reason, just text me and we will adjust your route.

I focus on Seattle and nearby surrounding areas so I can stay reliable and on time. If you are not sure you are in range, send your cross streets or address and I will tell you right away if I can make it work.

For safety reasons, I need dogs inside or securely separated before I enter the yard. I will always text before I arrive so you have time to bring them in. If I show up and the dog is still out, I will try to reach you, and if we cannot connect I may need to skip that visit.

No. Most people are at work or out living life while I scoop. As long as I have clear access to the yard, I can complete service, close your gate, and send a quick confirmation when I am done.

If you have a lock, key code, or tricky gate, we will figure it out. You can share the details with me once and I keep it secured. I also send gate photos so you know it is closed the way you expect when I leave.

I double bag all waste and remove it from the yard. Depending on local rules and logistics, it is disposed of through appropriate trash channels, not left visible on your property or tossed in your green bin without permission.

Yes. If the yard has not been cleaned in a while, I recommend a one time cleanup first. That gets everything back to zero. After that, weekly or twice weekly service keeps it easy to maintain and cheaper in the long run.

I can still scoop, but heavy leaves, tall grass, or deep mud make it harder to find everything and may require extra time or an initial cleanup fee. If I think conditions will change pricing, I will tell you up front instead of surprising you later.

I do my best to work around toys, furniture, and other yard items. The cleaner and less cluttered the area is, the easier it is to hit every pile. If there are sensitive items you are worried about, tell me and I will be extra careful around that spot.

Yes. I can coordinate with property managers or homeowners associations when needed. If someone else is paying the bill or requesting proof of service, I can provide simple documentation and photos so everyone feels comfortable.

Life happens. Vacations, travel, storms, or schedule changes are normal. Text me as soon as you know and I will adjust your route. If we have to move you to another day, I will confirm the new time so you always know when to expect service.

I still scoop, but very soft stool can be harder to collect, especially in long grass, wet soil, or gravel. I will do everything I can to remove it without smearing it into the yard. If I notice anything that looks concerning, I can let you know so you can mention it to your vet.
